Private Dog Training in Reno & Sparks
One-on-one dog training for owners in Reno and Sparks, built around your dog, your goals and the situations you encounter in everyday life. Private training can focus on obedience, reliability, play, reactivity, fear or other behavior goals without forcing every dog into the same training plan.

9-Session Program — $1,450
10 hours of private training: one two-hour starting session plus eight one-hour follow-up sessions.
11-Session Program — $1,700
12 hours of private training: one two-hour starting session plus ten one-hour follow-up sessions.
Every private program includes:
- One-on-one training and owner coaching built around your dog and your goals.
- An initial two-hour session, followed by the number of one-hour private sessions included in your selected program.
- Guidance on continuing the training between appointments so you can put it into practice in everyday life.
The training focus is individualized. For one dog that may mean leash walking, obedience, play, public work, recall and off-leash reliability. For another it may focus primarily on reactivity, fear or behavior modification. The evaluation helps determine the appropriate focus and number of sessions.
Behavior cases commonly require 5–10 follow-up sessions. Results and the amount of training needed depend on the individual dog, the severity and history of the behavior, and owner participation between sessions.
Private training questions
What happens during the free evaluation?
The free 30-minute evaluation gives us time to meet your dog, talk about your goals and decide which training option fits. It is a planning appointment rather than a full training lesson. Request a Free Evaluation
Can private lessons address reactivity or fear?
Yes. Private training can focus on behavior challenges as well as obedience, leash walking, play and recall. The plan depends on your dog’s history, needs and your participation between sessions. For dogs who need a more immersive option, we can also discuss board and train and behavior modification programs.
What is the difference between an intensive and a training program?
The two-hour intensive is a single hands-on training and coaching session focused on a specific issue and a plan you can continue. Private programs start with a two-hour session and continue with one-hour follow-up sessions. You can compare the private training options above.
